The new release of the Roederer Estate non-vintage Brut Rosé is from the base year of 2021 and was disgorged in January of 2024. It is crafted this year from the same blend as last year: fifty-six percent pinot noir and forty-four percent chardonnay and was finished with a dosage of eight grams per liter. As I mentioned last year, the pale salmon color of the wine is attained by the addition of a small percentage of still pinot noir in the blend. The wine’s aromatic constellation is precise and classy, wafting from the glass in a mix of peach, melon, white soil tones, rye bread and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and very nicely balanced, with a good core, fine mineral undertow, elegant mousse and a long, vibrant finish. Good juice.
