I am loving all the perfectly ripe Mourvedre here as it imparts such a cool, peppery, meaty, full-bodied quality to the layers of plums, kirsch, black raspberries and cherries. The wine is dark, deep, opulent and rich, as well as balanced, refined, elegant and plush, with a beautiful sense of symmetry, length and purity in the endnote. You definitely want to allow this wine to age for at least 5 years to allow for more opulence and complexity. Enjoy it for up to 2 decades after that. This is the final vintage of Charles Giraud as starting with the 2020 vintage, all of the single vineyard wines are going to be blended into one Cuvee. Drink from 2025 - 2040 99 Points
