A very creamy and delicious champagne with toasted and dried-apple notes. Strawberry as well. It's medium-bodied with a lovely, polished and creamy texture. 60% chardonnay, pinot noir 30% and 10% pinot meunier. 3 years in the bottle. 7.5g/L dosage. Drink now.

A silver straw color, the NV Champagne Brut is a base of 2019, the majority (60%) Chardonnay along with 35% Pinot Noir and a small amount of Meunier. Forward in the glass, it has a lovely intensity on opening, with wonderful pure aromas of white peaches, delicate flinty reduction with a kiss of smoke, fresh flowers, and preserved lime cordial. Medium-bodied, it retains its energy and intensity on the palate, with a ripe core and bright, electric energy. It has a good deal of density as well as a peppery and zesty mousse, with an elegantly rounded, fresh mid-palate and a kiss of bitter almond on the finish. This is a superb entry-level wine to start the range. I would snap this up for by-the-glass programs and would be thrilled to drink it over the next several years. 8 grams per liter dosage. - Audrey Frick

Based on the 2019 vintage, the Delamotte Brut NV is a blend of 60% Côte de Blancs Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 5 % Pinot Meunier fermented in stainless steel and disgorged in January 2023 with an eight gram per liter dosage. A light gold hue with a fine, persistent bead, it is bright and exuberant with fresh aromas of lemon sherbet, wet stones, white grapefruit, and chalk. The restrained, light to medium-bodied palate is finely textured with precise, citrus fruit intensity enlivened by vibrant acidity. Balanced and refreshing throughout. - Sarah Mayo

This graceful Champagne is fine and creamy on the palate, with delicate notes of Gala apple, baked white peach, preserved lemon and white blossoms enmeshed with a rich underpinning of toasted brioche and smoked almond that lingers on the finish. The current bottle of Delamotte non-vintage Brut in the market has a cépages of fifty-five percent chardonnay, thirty-five percent pinot noir and ten percent pinot meunier. It offers up a refined bouquet of apple chalky soil tones, warm bread, dried flowers and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and nicely balanced, with a good core, elegant mousse and a long, focused finish. I do not know exactly what the dosage was for this bottling, but it may be just a tad generous for Champagne fans gravitating more towards Extra Brut or the more moderately-dosé Brut bottlings.

The latest release of Delamotte's NV Brut is especially charming, bursting with aromas of crisp orchard fruit, peach and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and enveloping, it's a fleshy, giving wine that's ample and pliant, with a pinpoint mousse and a nicely defined finish. - William Kelley

An attractively dry Champagne that highlights its mineral texture as much as its ripe white fruits, this is tense, with a fine bite of acidity. The bottling is young and the wine needs to soften for the full experience. Drink from 2023. ROGER VOSS
