(92-94 points) The 2023 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which finished its malo later than others, is a little reticent in this tasting from barrel. Despite coaxing, these aromatics are not coming out to play. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins that frame the licorice-tinged black fruit. Quite sorbet-fresh, it's rather high-toned toward the finish. This is a fine Clos Vougeot, albeit outclassed by their other Grand Crus this year. - By Neal Martin on November 2024

(91-93 points) An exuberantly fresh and bright nose speaks of the essence of red pinot fruit, newly turned earth and a discreet application of wood. There is good punch and precision, if only average density, to the appealingly textured medium weight flavors that are supported by relatively fine-grained tannins on the youthfully austere and sneaky long finale.
