(92-95 points) Pale yellow. An effortless nose, graciously ripe, not exaggerated, yellow plum, high acidity here, a saline note even, impeccable intensity though I feel it was unfair to serve this after the world beating effortless class of La Sève du Clos. Even so, the length is astonishing. The acidity shows more, but apparently measures less, than La Sève du Clos.

I was wondering what the style of the 2019 Petits Charrons might be, given how miniscule the yields were in this parcel this year. I feared we might see a super concentrated wine, but that is most emphatically not the case, as this is a very classical rendition of Petits Charrons from Domaine Ente, offering up a beautifully complex bouquet of apple, passion fruit, almond, a potpourri of fruit blossoms, complex, chalky minerality, iodine, and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is expressive, precise and full, with lovely mid-palate depth, great mineral drive, bouncy acids and excellent length and grip on the seamlessly balanced finish. Great juice.

The 2019 Meursault Les Petits Charrons unwinds in the glass with notions of white flowers, orange oil, freshly baked bread, buttered popcorn and nashi pear. Medium to full-bodied, dainty and precise, it's bright and vibrant, with beautiful purity of fruit and a long, mouthwatering finish. It's the most ethereal Meursault in the range.
