Coming from Argentina and based on 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2010 Château Poesia is still youthfully purple-hued and has a gorgeous perfume of blue fruits, leafy tobacco, underbrush, and a hint of menthol. Wonderfully complex, full-bodied, round, and seamless on the palate, it has a gorgeous texture and finish. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2010 Poesia has a strict linear bouquet with dark berries, briary, wild hedgerow and crushed stone. It is tightly wound but already displays great delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp, supple entry. There is great purity here, very fine balance and perhaps overall, it will be a more feminine, refined Poesia than the previous vintage. Bright, dark red. Inviting, subtly complex aromas of black raspberry, mocha and espresso, with a building floral element. Offers lovely ripeness of fruit without any roasted character, with dark berry flavors complicated by medicinal herbs, spices and high-quality smoky oak. Finishes with noble, even tannins and terrific persistence. Very young but already superb, this wonderfully elegant wine is about much more than simply fruit. - Stephen Tanzer
