Medium yellow/golden-hued, the NV Champagne 1er Cru Lieu Dit Les Houtrants Complantes Brut Nature has a spicy nose with notes of raw ginger, golden melon, broth, and toasty smoke. The palate is savory and fully dry, with its mineral texture leading the way, followed by notes of bread dough and a pillowing mousse to round it out. It has a more savory-slanting profile and craves some fatty richness. It will do well paired with roast chicken. Drink over the coming 10 or more years.
