Very attractive nose of apricots, nectarines, rhubarb and red berries plus a delicate floral touch. A serious rosé with lovely creaminess yet no sense of weight until you reach the finish, but even there, there are no perceptible tannin that might clash with the lively mousse. Instead long and fresh with a hint of nuttiness. Based on the 2018 vintage with 10% reserve wines. Just 4% white base wines, the remainder red wines from Ay and Mareuil, 80% pinot noir. The NV (2016) Brut Rosé is a very pretty wine. Crushed red berry fruit, white pepper, mint, crushed rocks and sweet floral notes grace this pale-colored, delicate offering. The latest release of Deutz' NV Brut Rosé is showing nicely, mingling aromas of tangerine, white cherries and red berry fruit with hints of warm bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy but precise, it's delicate and fine-boned, with a racy spine of acidity and a penetrating finish.
