The current release of Gosset’s “Grand Rosé” non-vintage Brut is composed from a blend of fifty percent each of chardonnay and pinot noir, with eight percent of the pinot noir being still red wine to give the bottling its beautiful salmon color. The wine is from the base year of 2014 and includes ten percent reserve wines from the previous vintage. It was disgorged in 2019 after four years aging sur latte and finished with a dosage of eight grams per liter. The wine delivers a refined aromatic constellation of tangerine, watermelon, a hint of rhubarb, a beautiful base of chalky soil tones, fresh-baked bread and a topnote of rose petals. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a superb core, lovely mineral undertow, refined mousse and a long, zesty and impeccably balanced finish. As this is a non-malo wine, it has years and years of life still ahead of it, but the wine is drinking splendidly today.

A graceful rosé Champagne, with an enticing mix of mineral, ripe fruit and floral aromatics wafting from the glass, while detailed notes of baked white cherry and yellow peach, chopped almond, fleur de sel, grated ginger, orchard blossoms and chalk ride the fine, raw silklike texture on the palate. A fruity and open rosé champagne with notes of red apples, raspberries, brioche and honey. Touch of balsamic. Medium-bodied, with soft bubbles and a broad, inviting array of red berry fruit. Nicely dry and fresh at the end. 50% chardonnay and 50% pinot noir, based on the 2016 harvest with 8% reserve wines, with 8% red wine. Disgorged October 2022. 8g/L dosage. Drink now.

A pale pink-salmon hue and based on the 2017 vintage, the NV Champagne Grand Brut Rose is fresh and aromatic with notes of nectarine, orange blossom, and white strawberry. Medium-bodied, with a lively and refined mousse, it retains very nice freshness throughout, with a lifted and soft stony texture, fresh acidity, and a mouthwatering salinity on the finish. Light coral in color, Gosset’s Grand Rosé Brut NV is crisp and distinct with bright citrus, raspberry and wet stone aromas leading into a honed, medium-bodied palate shaped by brisk acidity, red berry fruit and minerality. A blend of 55% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and 8% of still Pinot Noir that undergoes no-malolactic fermentation, it is aged a minimum of four years and finished with an eight gram per liter dosage. - Sarah Mayo

The NV Brut Grand Rosé is an elegant, vinous Champagne comprised of 55% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and 8% still red Pinot Noir. Deceptively pale in color, the Grand Rosé offers plenty of textural intensity and resonance. Cranberries, crushed rocks, mint, white flowers, white pepper and orange peel abound.
