This is not a Mosel Auslese nor is it a dry Riesling, but its personality marries elements from both these categories in a completely original manner. What an incredibly fresh and entrancing nose of Amalfi lemons and mint this extraordinary wine has. Staggering focus and energy on the very concentrated yet delicate palate. Super-long, crystalline finish with great citrusy freshness and a hint of flint. Drink or hold.

Picked in one go and vinified in stainless steel, the 2023 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Anrecht offers a deep, intense, complex, saline and quite savory bouquet of ripe and concentrated yellow fruits, lemon verbena and citrus fruit notes. Mouth-filling and rich yet also crystalline and enormously mouthwatering on the finish, this is an impressive, very elegant and refined Himmelreich from the Anrecht parcel. The rich, intense and mouth-coating finish remains mouthwatering. This is a superb Auslese with terroir character. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in January 2026.- SR

The 2023 Riesling Zeltinger Himmelreich Auslese Anrecht, from a central parcel within the midslope of the Zeltinger Himmelreich, presents an exquisitely ethereal nose with crushed yarrow, green apple and zesty lemon. Tangy, almost savory notions wrap around a smooth core of candied white peach sweetness, maintaining a delightful balance. This wine is alluring, streamlined and almost fizzing with freshness.
