The Rebholz family's specialty is actually Pinot Blanc. However, their top vineyard, Kastanienbusch, with its ancient Rotliegend soil, can also produce exceptional Riesling. This wine serves as a prototype for Palatinate Riesling: powerful and crisp, yet still impenetrable in its youth. It exhibits spicy notes of white pepper, lemon pepper, lemon peel, and peach stone, while still carrying the 'baby fat' with a hint of yeastiness and smokiness. The acidity is ripe and still prominent. Difficult to access, but undeniably powerful. The length stretches like a tattoo.
