I'd put this up with the finest vintages to date, and the 2023 Furmint is juicy and lively, with bright mint, citrus, and even a kiss of stone fruits in a medium-bodied, balanced package. It's about as versatile as they come and is undeniably delicious. Drink 2025-2027.

To honor the family's Hungarian roots, Kapcsandy devotes a small portion of the vineyard to Furmint. The 2023 Furmint—made entirely in stainless steel and bottled in February following the vintage—is floral on the nose, with gently green-herbaceous notes, plus lime and melon. Plump and medium-bodied, this version seems a bit more substantial than some years, rounded and concentrated, yet it's bright and clean on the refreshing finish.- JC
