(90-93 points) A new acquisition, 1.02ha adjacent to Beaune Grèves, picked in two sections, above and below, and vinified separately then assembled at the recent racking. No deeper in colour than the Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru, but very much so in the fruit expression on the nose. A super sensual cherry and alpine strawberry fragrance. Very light foot treading. Excellent acidity which is important in 2023.

(91-93 points) The maiden 2023 Beaune Les Teurons 1er Cru comes from an acquisition of one hectare and is 100% whole bunch. It has a detailed and precise bouquet that opens wonderfully in the glass. For me, it's easily the best of Roulot's three reds. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, lively with tension from the start and quite Volnay-like toward the finish. (90-92 points) The 2023 Beaune 1er Cru Teurons is pretty and perfumed, wafting from the glass with notes of orange zest, sweet red berries, peonies and spices. Medium-bodied, supple and melting, with a floral finish, this inaugural vintage will appear under the Jean-Marc Roulot label, but subsequent renditions will be fully integrated into the domaine.- WK

A more elegant and cooler nose of the essence of red berries and ample floral elements serves as a lovely intro to the utterly delicious and seductively textured flavors that deliver good length on the dusty and youthfully austere finale. This is on the lighter side but it's certainly refined.
