It has a perfumed bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, iris flower and hints of dark chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied with very pliant, fine tannins that frame the slightly toasty dark berry fruit. As usual, this leans more toward black than red fruit, with a touch of graphite toward the finish. This will need four or five years in bottle

(92-94 points) An overtly floral-suffused nose is perfumed, elegant and exceptionally pretty with its blend of mostly dark berries, exotic tea and a suggestion of rose petal. There is impressive volume to the moderately concentrated medium weight flavors that possess a caressing mouthfeel that is a lovely combination of finesse and power before concluding in a serious, youthfully austere and built-to-age finale. While this isn't exactly a 'buy and forget you won it' wine, it knocks on the door so patience strongly advised.
