Rich notes of poached pear launch from the glass, in this wine comprised of fruit from the San Luis Obispo and Monterrey County appellations. Ripe pineapple flesh and intense white peaches with dabs of honeyed ginger. The palate shows a richness and intensity that's hard to resist. Rich tropical fruits mingle with whisps of candied ginger and a dash of sea salt. (Drink between 2025-2033)

From grapes grown primarily in San Luis Obispo, the 2023 Chardonnay is a nicely integrated, full-bodied white with grainy texture and flavors of lemon pith, tangerine and wet stone. Hugely enjoyable, with a rounded mouthfeel and long-lasting acidity, it is drinking well now but should continue to be great another 5-7 years.

Toasted almond, citrus pith and light dairy aromas show on the nose of this appellation cuvée. The palate picks up an earthier line, as chaparral rock and herb flavors meet with brighter lemon and dried pear elements. — Matt Kettmann
