Tenuta degli Dei is a gorgeous estate surrounded by horse paddocks in Panzano in Chianti. The 2021 Le Redini is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Alicante from a site with loose soils rich in schistic galestro. What stands out most is the soft and soothing texture of the wine that wraps thickly over the palate. There are no rough edges here, and the finish is driven by dark cherry, spice and baking chocolate. Production is 35,000 bottles. - ML

The 2021 Le Redini is a gorgeous, beguiling wine, mostly Merlot with a dollop of Alicante, a blend that is unique to the estate in Chianti Classico. A wine of aromatic presence and nuance, Le Redini presents a compelling mélange of ripe red cherry fruit, wild herbs, mint, rose petal and cinnamon. There is a bit of new oak that needs to integrate.
