A great sense of purity and energy here - good intensity without heaviness. Graphite to the blackberry aromas, and a gentle, fine-sand tannic texture. It's light-bodied, but with such direction and finesse and a little saline nip on the finish. An exceptional, and highly typical Saint-Joseph. It expresses the weightless intensity and precision of some of the best Saint-Josephs. No overly intense tannic structure, it's not demonstrative or over extracted. A new cuvée marking the transition from Guy Farge to his son Thomas Farge. One of their best parcels of Saint-Joseph. (Drink between 2021-2027)
