The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon S.L.V. is deep garnet-purple in color. Cedar and pencil lead notes emerge from the glass, followed by a core of warm cassis, boysenberry preserves, and stewed plums, plus a hint of Provence herbs. The medium to full-bodied palate is taut with muscular black fruits, supported by plush tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and fragrant.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon S.L.V. is a dark, brooding behemoth. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2019 is in no mood to show all its cards. Intense blue fruit, gravel, menthol, lavender and pencil shavings confer gravitas. All this needs is time to come together. - Antonio Galloni
