The 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva is made entirely from Sangiovese and pours a bright ruby red color. It opens to ripe aromas of red cherries, baking spices, licorice candies, and baked earth. Medium-bodied, the palate offers balanced ripeness, purity, and fine tannins, filling the palate with a juicy feel through the finish. It’s in a great spot now, and I imagine it will have plenty of freshness over the coming 8-10 years. - Audrey Frick
