This is really floral, showing rose petals, a nervy and pleasant hint of geraniums with some raspberries plus a touch of tile. Medium- to full-bodied with an enveloping and precise layer of fruit. Polished and juicy tannins follow through to a delineated, subtly chewy finish. Needs a couple of years to come together.

Very ripe and perfumed on the nose, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva is a dark red/ruby color and offers notes of baked berries, candied flowers, sappy herbs, and candied cherries. Full-bodied, it's ripe without being overly heavy, and it has ripe tannins, even acidity, and a salty flourish that benefits the wine very nicely. A sapid wine with good length, it can be enjoyed over the next 6-8 years.
