Lovely cherry, raspberry and floral aromas and flavors are at the heart of this graceful red. Vibrant and elegant, with well-integrated tannins and a long, supple, mineral-tinged finish. This should be really charming in about 5 to 6 years. Best from 2025 through 2043. 400 cases imported.

Aromas of black cherries and citrus with some graphite and smoke. Medium-bodied with firm, juicy tannins that are chewy now, but will soften with age. Racy and long at the end. From organically grown grapes. Better after 2024.

The organic 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Coltassala is 95% Sangiovese with a tiny 5% touch of Mammolo, aged in barrique for 18 months and 12 months in bottle before its release. Production hits 9,000 bottles in this vintage. The wine shows medium-rich fruit weight with a nicely medley of creamy black fruit, Christmas spice and crushed stone or granite.
