(95+ points) The 2018 Red Blend Alessio is composed of 37.5% Cabernet Franc from Sugarloaf Mountain vineyard, 37.5% Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench vineyard and 25% Merlot from Sugarloaf Mountain vineyard. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant kirsch, dried Provence herbs and dusty soil scents with a core of warm cassis, blueberry pie and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the rich, dark fruit have a lovely red berry and herbal lift, framed by grainy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long and minty. 115 cases were made.-LPB
