(92-95 points) To understand the wine you need to know the soil, Bruno thinks. This is on Oxfordien limestone, a softer stone, with lots of little coquillages. The topsoil is a whitish marl. Fine concentrated mid purple. The nose shows an elegant style of Corton. A wine to make you salivate, one of those that starts gently then builds very well to the back. It is full of light but pronounced little red fruits and with an excellent aftertaste. Tasted: December 2018.

(92-94 points) There is excellent aromatic complexity to the nose that reflects of rose petal, lavender, plum, dark currant, warm earth and a hint of leather. The dense and powerful broad-shouldered flavors possess plenty of dry extract that largely, if not completely, buffers the exceptionally firm though not hard or even especially rustic tannins shaping the strikingly long finish that displays the same dazzling complexity as the nose. This is excellent but it would not make a good choice for early drinking.
