jamessuckling.com, August 2023

Mineral and stone and steel. Dried flowers. Lots of dried fruits such as peaches. Apricot. So much intense fruit character. Wild flavors and complexity. A real pastry shop in the glass here. Full but not heavy. Wonderful...

Wine Enthusiast, December 2020

The new release of this iconic Champagne shows its richness to perfection. The floral aromas lead to a wine that has weight and density as well as a balance that encompasses ripe fruits that have now matured to reveal...

Wine Spectator, August 2020

A graceful Champagne, featuring fragrant notes of toasted brioche and grilled nut that are more subtle on the palate, transitioning to a rich underpinning layered with a pure chime of tangerine and accents of candied...

Decanter, July 2020

Soft gold, with a gentle green luminescence and a paler rim. A fine bead and immediately reassuring nose…. classic DP this, citric fruit, slate, sourdough, soft spice and the softly whispered intimations of tropical...

Vinous, August 2020

The 2010 Dom Pérignon is hard to get a read on today. I have tasted it four times over the last few months, and my feeling is that it is still not totally put together. Apricot, pastry, chamomile, mint and light tropical...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, August 2022

A charming, demonstrative vintage for this cuvée, the 2010 Dom Pérignon bursts with notes of mandarin, golden orchard fruit, toasted bread, almonds and petrol. Medium to full-bodied, rabid and ample, with a fleshy core of...

Since 1743 when it was founded, Moet & Chandon has been passing down unequaled winemaking savoir-faire and an innovative and pioneering spirit from generation to generation. Founder Claude Moet was the first to embody these values when he made his Champagne the most sought-after in Europe. With his grandson, Jean Remy Moët, a pioneering and visionary mind, Moet & Chandon became a major international champagne brand. This saga quickly transformed the family House into a worldwide symbol of success.

The 1,190 hectares of rich limestone soil, 50% of which is classed as Grand Cru and 25% Premier Cru, make up the largest vineyard area in Champagne. Underground, the Moet & Chandon cellars are the most extensive in the region. Extending more than 28 kilometers, they form a subterranean labyrinth where the wine metamorphoses under optimum conditions of humidity and temperature.

Moet & Chandon is part of the luxury brands group LVMH, whose other prestigious wine holdings include Chateau d’Yquem, Cheval Blanc, Cloudy Bay, Krug, and Newton Vineyard, to name a few.

Possibly the world’s most recognized and iconic Champagne, Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon is always a vintage-dated wine comprised of the classic varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Elegant and graceful with excellent aging potential, it is produced only in those harvest years that the Chef de Cave declares to be of exceptional quality.

Dom. Pierre Perignon, revered as the spiritual “Father of Champagne”, was a 17th century Benedictine Monk and cellar master at Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers. He had a singular mission: to create the best wine in the world. To that mission, he dedicated 47 years of his life to invent and perfect the techniques to create a wine whose reputation knows no equal. His life-long work acquired a reputation for excellence which spread rapidly throughout the region, including the favor of the Royal Court during the reign of King Louis XIV.

Today, Richard Geoffroy, Chef de Cave and Creator of Dom Perignon Vintages, perpetuates the spirit of Dom. Pierre Perignon. The wine is produced by Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the largest luxury brand group in the world.
