Bonal relies upon the gentle infusion of gentian, cinchona (quinine) and an assortment of renowned herbs of the Grande Chartreuse Mountains before being mixed with mistelle (local wine that has been fortified with brandy). Traditionally enjoyed neat or with a twist, exceptional with fresh cider, and also a fine alternative to sweet red vermouth.
