(95-97 points) (Pauillac; 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Carmenere, 1% Petit Verdot; pH 3.78; 13.1% ABV; tasted at the UGCB press tasting at the Cité du Vin and then at Mouton Rothschild with Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy). Charming, gracious and quite distinctive aromatically, with a nuttiness that I was not expecting and a saline note to the minerality too. There's more florality here than when tasted at the UGCB, with much more than just the hint of peony when re-tasted at Mouton. There's also a reassuringly dark, Pauillac, berry and stone fruit signature. There's plenty of graphite too, a little scratch of the pencil sharpener, a hint of the cedar to come and a little liquorice root on the finale. Plump and deep, layered and very classical, but with a crystalline purity that has been rather more recently acquired. I love the beautiful pinch, grip and shape to the fantail finish. We're in 'best ever' territory here. 95-97

Raspberries and red cherries on the nose with some rose petal aromas. Juicy and alive, great energy and brightness straight away, so generous, plump, a little darker on the palate with some dark chocolate, liquorice, blackcurrant and hints of cedar and bitterness. But equally the acidity is pronounced giving this real lift. Energetic with a mineral edged acidity. Dynamic and vibrant, great tannic frame, lively and so compelling. 1% Carmenere and 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

(94-95 points) A juicy and structured Clerc that is very typical with a firmness and brightness. It's medium-bodied with a solid center palate and a linear and racy finish. Just a hint of flint in the end. Vivid and pretty. A blend of 62% cabernet sauvignon, 28% merlot, 8% cabernet franc, 1% carmenere and 1% petit verdot.

Captures the muscular leanness of the vintage, coupled with great intensity and depth, waves of cloves, red liquorice, dark autumnal fruits, huge sapidity, coffee bean and cappuccino, clear richness with creamy weight through the mid palate. 3.78 pH. Harvest September 3 to 19. 55% new oak for ageing. Estate signature. 3.78ph.

(93-95 points) Black cherries, flowers, blackberries, spice box, currants, and tobacco wrappers form the nose. The medium-bodied, elegantly textured palate continues along that line with its vivid display of red cherries, strawberry, licorice, blackberries, espresso, and leafy herbs, leaving you with a touch of crushed rocks and herbs in the finish. (93-95 points) The 2025 Clerc Milon has turned out beautifully, offering up notes of dark berries, petals and orange zest, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and concentrated, with lively acids and a chalky finish, it's a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and the rest Carmenère and Petit Verdot.

(92-94 points) A balanced, graceful Pauillac, the 2025 Château Clerc Milon is based on 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Carménère and Petit Verdot, still resting in barrel. Cassis and black cherries, graphite, and a crushed stone-like minerality all define the nose. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied with a pretty, pure, almost understated profile that builds nicely with time in the glass. It's a beautiful Pauillac in the making, and I'd certainly be happy with bottles in the cellar.

(92-94 points) The 2025 Clerc Milon is powerful and explosive in the glass. A rush of dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, mocha, new leather and a kiss of new oak makes a strong first impression. Supple and quite potent, with tons of energy, the Clerc Milon is impeccable in 2025. - Antonio Galloni

(90-93 points) Round and pleasing, juicy and fresh – with fine peppery notes of cabernet sauvignon. This is a fresh and high toned example of Clerc Milon and a wine that will probably be ready to consume a bit earlier than normal. Long fresh and juicy aftertaste.

(90-92 points) Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Clerc Milon is a little shy to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal notes of blackberry preserves and cassis, plus hints of graphite, bay leaves, and cloves. The light- to medium-bodied palate delivers just enough delicate black fruit with a light chewiness to the texture and well-knit freshness, finishing savory.
