The 2024 Morgon Côte du Py has a fairly intense purple color with carmine reflections and was raised as ever in older barrels. Here is a wine that signals the merits of this very splendid cuvée, from the finest sectors of the terroir. An ample, deep, full-bodied wine that takes on both depth and elegance, as Foillard knows how to do. The texture on the palate delivers handsome tannins, rich, soft, abundant and plush, without roughness or hardness, which will carry the wine through time. The balance too is well worked and well considered, while the aromas show the smoky, graphite register typical of the cru. -Antoine Pétrus
