The 2024 Las Pizarras Syrah is a stunning wine; it is visceral and vivid, with a floral, fruit-driven profile rather than a savory one, capturing the minimalist, stark purity that this vintage, at least at this early stage, routinely delivers. It is dense and refreshing on the palate, with excellent acidity and a tensile, balletic mouthfeel that combines genuine richness with impeccable finesse, culminating in a perfumed, chalky, mineral-driven finish. With additional aeration, the wine continues to develop, further enhancing its flawless purity and striking character. I found all three of the Las Pizarras bottlings to reach another level this harvest, but this wine most of all.- Matthew Luczy

The 2024 Syrah Las Pizarras from Aconcagua Costa delivers striking aromatic purity with violet, blackberry, lavender and raspberry, lifted by a subtle touch of oak and a hint of bacon. The expression is remarkably pure. On the palate, it is slender and silky with a gentle grip and a lingering floral imprint.
