The most volume of fruit among the Volnays, plus that slightly more regal touch to the fruit, which covers the bone structure completely. Good acidity behind. Promising.

The 2024 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru has a well-defined nose with cranberry and raspberry fruit, touches of tobacco and sous-bois, the latter becoming more pronounced with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a dash of black pepper on the entry. Fine weight and depth, quite fresh with a touch of allspice and cinnamon on the finish.
