The 2022 Riesling Siefersheimer Höllberg Grosses Gewächs is made from 35+-year-old vines, the oldest Riesling parcel in this Grosse Lage. It is vinified in stainless steel, Stück and Halbstück. Cream, peach and apricot make for a seductive trinity on the nose. A second sniff reveals narcissus and tender, white blossom. The 2022 is very perfumed. The palate is less creamy than the nose suggests and convinces with stony intensity. There is clarity and precision and citrus-zest-edged stone fruit. (Bone-dry)
