Bottled in April this year, the straw-yellow 2022 Schloss Johannisberg Gelblack Riesling Trocken opens with an intensely fruity yet also pure and spicy, classic Johannisberg nose, with ripe and full Riesling aromas and just a kiss of traditional oak. This medium to full-bodied wine is round, refined and elegant on the palate, quite supple and mouth-filling but also expressive due to its mineral structure. The finish is savory and fresh, with lemon notes. Excellent quality. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in September 2023. - SR
