A bouquet of crushed black cherries, strawberries, sweet spice and cedar shavings forms as the 2022 Marche Sangiovese Polesio blossoms in the glass. This is silky smooth with masses of mineral-tinged wild berry fruits that swirl beneath an air of violet inner florals. A coating of gently grippy tannins and hints of licorice slowly fade, finishing long and juicy all the same. The 2022 is fantastic, especially at this price point. - By Eric Guido on May 2024
