(96-98 points) The 2022 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese *** Gold Capsule was made with more than 50% botrytised grapes. Molitor says the must weight here is in the BA spectrum. There is a citric lift on the nose that is otherwise shy. The palate is compact, has a lovely bitter edge of candied peel, and is very concentrated and luscious. It's exquisitely detailed with candied orange and twin notions of clear blossom and dark fir honey. Tangerine highlights dance, while the finish on this viscous liquid is endless. (Luscious)

Stacks of dried tropical fruits and vanilla fill out the compact body of this very concentrated Auslese. Great energy and drive. Sure you could drink this soon, but with this kind of huge structure we suggest hanging on for at least a couple of years, or even better, a couple of decades. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
