Coming from a cooler AVA east of Soledad (in Monterey County), the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is light gold-hued and offers beautiful peach and honeyed lemon fruit as well as medium-bodied richness on the palate. It's fruit-forward, textured, nicely balanced, and has a clean finish, all making it about as gulpable as they come. Drink bottles over the coming year or two. It's well worth buying.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, matured for four months in used French oak, is scented of white peach, tarragon, beeswax and spicy undertones. The light-bodied palate has a deep core of herb-laced peach fruit. It balances bright acidity with a touch of textural grip, and it has a long, grapefruit-laced finish. - Erin Brooks
