Tasted young, this sprightly spätlese announces itself with strikes of flint and an intensely smoky, earthen veil of reduction. With a bit of time and aeration (even 15 minutes introduces a remarkable transformation) you'll find deep, dazzling layers of crisp white peach, lime and lemongrass speckled with salt and stone. It's a leaner expression of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr, with a delicacy of texture that juxtaposes a piercing, pure fruit profile. A thirst-quenching sip with just a hint of sweetness that lingers on the finish. Hold until 2026 if possible, it will develop stunningly for decades.

Wonderfully peachy nose with just a hint of caramelized apple. Lovely succulence on the silky, medium-bodied palate. Very long finish in which the ripeness and wet stone freshness are exactly balanced. Already excellent integration of the restrained grape sweetness. Drink or hold.

A great representation of the notably warm, dry 2022 vintage, this is a wine with great tension—a duality hitting both the sweet and savory spectrum. It is a tug of war between fresh tropical fruits and savory chrysanthemum tea. This is an expression of riesling that entices you to keep on smelling the glass to discover new flavors.

This is quite round and very supple, with a vibrant structure supporting the flat peach, bergamot and sage honey flavors. It shows great clarity and expression with a subtle, yet long, kaleidoscope aftertaste. It is firm and remains like that even with plenty of air, so this is another one for the cellar. There's a litheness to this elegant version, with a finessed, angular feel to the notes of green plum, star fruit and nectarine underscored by crushed slate accents and a hint of chamomile.
