The 2022 Riesling Wiltinger Braune Kupp Le Gallais Kabinett is beautiful, with a more racy, focused style (despite coming from a warmer site) carrying lively lychee and citrus fruits as well as beautiful clove, mint, and ginger nuances that emerge with time in the glass. It's medium-bodied and has a crystalline, focused mouthfeel, perfect balance in its acidity and sweetness, and a great finish. It will benefit from a year or three in bottle and keep for at least two decades.

The 2022 Riesling Wiltinger Braune Kupp Kabinett opens with tart yet ripe apple flesh, lemon overtones, salty stone, fresh, green yarrow and slight smoke. The palate is very fine, slender, and absolutely juicy with freshness. Ripe lemon accentuates tart green-red apple, yet the subtle residual sweetness also holds notions of Mirabelle that seem to eat up any residual sugar, so the finish is just off-dry.
