The Latricières from Trapet has long been a mainstay of the domaine – they have owned this -0.76-hectare parcel for nearly 120 years. It is located near the southern end of the appellation on the way to Aux Combottes, to the south of the cooling influence of the Combe Grisard. In 2022, the grapes were partially destemmed before a gentle fermentation on native yeasts to deliver this wine with black plum and cherry aromas and hints of flowers and earth. There is a slightly rustic edge, but the texture is lively enough to ensure a dynamic balance and a lovely, lingering finish.

(93-96 points) Mid crimson, a little more sombre than some. There is a substantial weight of a darker crushed raspberry fruit, not especially lively. A thick, richly textured wine, perhaps a little drier through the middle, plenty of wine here, especially at the back, but not quite singing today. I would not be surprised by a better showing later on. 50% whole bunch vinification.

(94-96 points) The 2022 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has turned out beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries and cherries mingled with hints of peony, spice and a discreet framing of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's bright and concentrated, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a penetrating finish.- WK

(94-96 points) The 2022 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, 60% whole bunches, is very perfumed and floral on the nose with ebullient red berry fruit, wet clay, forest floor and morels gradually cohering in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet pastille-like entry of redcurrant, cranberry and maraschino cherries, with white pepper and clove touches. Very complex, very harmonious. It fans out beautifully on the finish. Polished and succinct, this Latricières will age gracefully in bottle.

(92-95 points) A combination of more discreet wood influence and very fresh if restrained red berry fruit liqueur aromas are laced with hints of floral, spice and earth. The equally earthy, rich and attractively textured larger-bodied flavors possess good mid-palate concentration before culminating in a complex, pure, mildly austere and impressively refined finish, if not quite as refined as that of the Combottes. Even so, there is more here as well as more structure to patience will absolutely be necessary.
