This is surprisingly elegant in the context of what is typical for Vercots with its mélange of ripe yet airy aromas of plum, red raspberry, earth and a vague suggestion of the sauvage. There is excellent volume and richness to the larger-bodied flavors that also coat the mouth with sappy dry extract on the dusty, firm, youthfully austere and built-to-age finale. Unlike a number of wines in the range, this is unlikely to make for especially interesting early drinking to at least moderate patience will be necessary.
