(96-98 points) One of the most impressive wines of the vintage is the 2022 Cote Rotie Cote Brune from Jamet family. Crafted from a tiny plot of 0.5 hectares and with only 2,500 bottles produced, it reveals a singular, surprising bouquet of rose, lychee, violets, cassis and flowers mingled with lovely spicy notes, turning chocolaty with aeration. Full-bodied, dense and compact at this stage, it's framed by structured, velvety tannins, a seamless, multidimensional core of fruit and culminates in a telluric, mineral finish enhanced by subtle notes of pencil lead and licorice, giving this wine some mystery. Still maturing in barrels, this racy thoroughbred will take some time to hit its stride. Kudos!- YC
