The 2022 Saint-Veran En Pommards comes from limestone soils, the vines facing northwest here, aged 50% in stainless steel and 50% in demi-muids. It has a focused and perhaps the best-defined bouquet amongst the Domaine's 2022s (though personally, I discern more complexity within the Grande Bruyere). The palate is taut and fresh, fine weight with hints of wild peach, almond and Anjou pear. This builds wonderfully from its lowkey entry, fanning out towards the finish. This certainly meliorates in the glass, and it comes highly recommended.
