The more concentrated medium weight flavors possess excellent intensity while the moderately firm and youthfully austere finish flashes more evident minerality on the balanced and sneaky long finish. This is built to repay up to a decade of keeping but could reasonably be approached after 5 years.

(91-93npoints) The 2022 Marsannay Clos du Roy has admirable transparency on the nose with nicely focused, vibrant scents of red cherry and crushed strawberry. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, very good concentration and lightly spiced darker fruit toward the Gevrey-like finish. Bravo. This is a great Clos du Roy.
