(91-93 points) A more deeply pitched and more complex if less elegant combination of ripe red and dark wild berries is trimmed in background hints of the sauvage, earth and violet. The bigger, richer, rounder and more powerful flavors possess excellent size and weight though not nearly the same refinement on the balanced, mildly austere and impressively long finish. This is very good and should age accordingly.

(90-93 points) Grown on clay and crinoidal limestone. Bruno notes that Les Corbeaux is always low pH even with higher degrees thanks to the cool wind from the combe. A fresh, lighter style, more strawberry, a few tannins, good length.

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corbeaux 1er Cru comes from 50- and 75-year-old vines. This is very well-defined on the nose with a mélange of red and black fruit, tobacco and light earthy/forest floor scents. Very good complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, a crisp line of acidity, an "airy" and elegant Gevrey that will gain more weight during its time in bottle. Excellent. - By Neal Martin on January 2024
