The 2022 Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard is a field blend with a ton of different varieties. It pours a deep youthful purple with a hint of pink and is ripe with black berries, savory sappy herbs, and dark earth. Full-bodied and well-structured, with bright acidity, ripe tannins, and a long finish, it demands another couple of years in bottle. Drink 2026-2040.

The 2022 Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard is fabulous. Rich, sleek and layered in the glass, the Carlisle Zinfandel is a standout. As always, the field blend includes dollops of other varieties (Petite Sirah, Grand Noir, Alicante Bouschet, Tempranillo and Peloursin), but more than anything else, it is the wine’s balance and total sense of harmony that impresses most.
