The 2022 Chassagne Montrachet Village has a slightly conservative bouquet that needs encouragement, opening nicely with green apple, nettle and light limestone scents. The palate is well balanced, with good concentration and fine depth considering this is a Village Cru. A bright, spicy finish lingers in the mouth. This constitutes a well-made Chassagne Village that should age well in bottle. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London. - Neal Martin
