From a plateau west of the village with deeper loamy and loamy-sandy soils with clay and calcareous deposits, the 2022 Deidesheimer Kieselberg Riesling GG opens with a deep and intense, rather coolish bouquet of fully ripe and lush stone fruits intermingled with iodine and flinty nuances. It's delicately reductive. Round and vivacious on the palate, this is a full-bodied, tight and intense, powerful Riesling with stimulating savoriness and a saline finish. There are ripe peach and mango aromas on the long-lasting, always salivating aftertaste. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2024. - Stephan Reinhardt

The abundant grapefruit and blood orange fruit gives this a lot of juicy appeal and the balancing acidity and minerality accentuate this neatly. Plenty of good things here, but not that much tension. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
