The 2022 Pinot Noir Holder Vineyard has intense, slowly unfurling scents of pomegranate liqueur, blood orange, tea leaves and loamy earth, gaining detail as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with red and blue fruit laced with citrus and botanical notes. It has a finely chalky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a long, layered finish. - Erin Brooks

This is also notably ripe while maintaining good freshness on the very spicy dark pinot fruit aromas that evidence a hint of kirsch and plenty of floral elements. The vibrant and beautifully textured medium weight flavors are not super dense but the underlying tension adds a real sense of lift to the dusty, compact, youthfully austere and very firm finale. This is quite serious and also clearly built-to-age. Well-worth checking out.
