A classic bottling from one of the Willamette's most renowned vineyard sites, a selected blend from across the 80ha Shea Vineyard. Aromas of fresh red and blue berry fruits, alongside turned earth and umami character. The palate shows a lift and liveliness. Fresh red currant, ripe raspberries and a hint of savoury green herbs and black tea are carried out by ample acidity. (Drink between 2023-2036)

Cranberries, red currants, sour cherries and orange zest on the nose, with hints of licorice. Bright and fruit forward, with excellent tension too, and tight, fine-grained tannins. It’s medium-bodied, sleek and fresh. Drink now or hold.

Pouring a youthful red/ruby hue, the 2021 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard Estate offers wonderful clarity and ripeness in the glass, with notes of black raspberries, licorice spice, pine sap, and candied flowers. Elegant all the way through the palate, this medium-bodied red offers highly refined tannins, with even acidity, a soft, stony mouthfeel, and a lovely, tapering finish. It’s a highly appealing wine now and is going to continue to improve if given time. Drink 2024-2037.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Estate Shea Vineyard exudes a vibrant blend of crushed strawberries, raspberries and dusty rose. This steps lightly with a pure display of ripe red fruits and inner florals guided by juicy acidity. It finishes long yet remarkably fresh, leaving a pleasantly sweet, hard candy resonance. -Eric Guido

This wine's nine months in French oak, 30% new and 70% neutral, is a winning combination. A pronounced raspberry-pie aroma is joined by notes of sage and orange zest. There's a meatiness to the palate, with tart cherries blending with fennel and Italian sausage notes. The acidity is zippy and the mouthfeel crisp. — Michael Alberty
