The Senses 2021 Charles Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay has notions of almond croissant, persimmons, and candied ginger tumbling from the glass, leading to a fragrant core of mandarin peel, lime blossoms, and juicy nectarines, plus a waft of butterscotch. The medium to full-bodied palate is an explosion of bright citrus and stone fruit fireworks, offset by fantastic tension and a satiny texture, finishing long and minerally. So good!

The 2021 Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard exudes opulence in its ripe tropical fruit notes of orange oil, roasted pineapple, beeswax, and stylistic touch of flint, but it remains balanced. Ripe and round, with medium to full body, it’s rich with golden yellow fruits and marzipan, and although it has a generous and open-knit nature to it now, this will continue to improve over the coming years. The 2021 Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard was barrel fermented and matured 14 months in around one-third new French oak. It opens with wafts of flint and saline that give way to white peach and savory tones of dried hay, chamomile and honey. The light-bodied palate is silky and energetic, its concentrated core of fruit still mineral driven at this stage. Offer it 2-3 years in bottle. 410 cases were made.

The 2021 Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard is airy and nicely lifted. Sweet floral notes, orchard fruit, lemon confit, mint and jasmine give this focused Chardonnay terrific brightness. The style is about airiness and understatement.
