(95-97 points) The 2021 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr GG is coolish and flinty on the aristocratic, elegant and refined nose. Supple but light and juicy on the palate, this is a round but elegant and refined, pure and salty ZSU with darker toned, lush fruit. It's very, very elegant but also tensioned and very mineral in its expression. Remarkably fine and leaner than the twin from Wehlen. From vines about 60 years old in the lower part of the vineyard close to the rocks. Tasted as a sample in July 2022. - SR

Extremely youthful, with a very firm mineral core and excellent focus. With aeration a hauntingly ripe apricot aroma rises up out of the glass. What beautiful balance this graceful Mosel riesling GG has. Firm with a very long, wet stone and fresh herb finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2023.

There's roundness to the quince, apple and preserved lemon peel flavors in this solid white. Displays savory power, too, with notes of fresh green herbs, bitter tea and salty, crushed slate. Shows finessed richness through the concentrated finish, with a lime oil note and tangy acidity. Drink now through 2038. – KB
