96+ Tasting the 2021 Castiñeiro Espadeiro next to the 2020, I liked it very much. It's elegant and perfumed, pale, delicate and ethereal, a triumph over the adverse conditions of a very challenging year when almost nobody could produce Caíño. However, the year is spectacular for Espadeiro in the hands of Eulogio Pomares (I also loved the one from Zarate). This is light and fresh, with only 10.5% alcohol. There is a change in the 2021; it was vinified in concrete (it was vinified in oak before), where it also matured, and concrete seems to preserve the character of the variety quite faithfully. Bravo! 863 bottles produced. - LG
